Another great independent Seattle bookstore teams up with the incomparable Seattle Public Library to host a reading, fundraiser, and concert. A reading at 2 pm in the Ballard Public Library is preceded by live music provided by a quartet of musicians from the Garfield High School jazz band. The reading is also a fundraiser for area music programs.

event of the Indiana State Fair is also probably the longest-running
contest for high school marching bands in the country—61 years
in 2007. Kristen will be signing books from 8 am to 4 pm under the grandstand.
